I just bought a 120 gig IPOD yesterday, for my sound system. The Kenwood KVT819DVD deck has a special USB/audio/video hook-up, made especially for your IPOD.

Kenwood makes a 59" cable, so that you can connect one end to your Kenwood deck, and run the other into the tourpack , or a side hardbag. , to access and lock away your IPOD. The IPOD is functional through the handlebar controls, thanks to BIKETRONICS !!

So, I'll have 120 gigs to fill with music, music videos, or movies, to compliment my riding experience,.........all at a 'thumbs" reach.

I'l have to take the outer fairing, tank and seat off again to route the cable,.....but, well worth the time. Hopefully, this concludes my sound system,......unless I find a new set of the Pioneer "Yellow Cone" 6X9's , then I'll swap out one of my sets.

I NEVER EVER thought in a million years that I could put a set-up like this together. So anyone that thinks that they can't,....is DEAD wrong.

With time and patience, ( and the help of our forum friends), I think we can do anything these bikes need.

why would you need TWO of the Alpine PDX 4.150? heard a system with just 1 and 4 6X9's in the bags and it was way loud.

The Alpine 4X1.50 amps are a 4 channel amp. I run 8 speakers, so with 2 amps, each speaker has it's own channel.

If 1 is good, 2 is more better !!!

WOW that's wild! Nice job! I hope it wasn't too expensive of a head unit. The vibration will wreak havoc with the screen and gear and track mechanism.

Hey
I’ve read your audio setup and it very nice I have a question for you. I have a Clarion radio like your Kenwood. I ordered the hawg wired wiring kit but it on back order going on 2 months and unknown when they will have it. I’m trying to avoid cutting the wires so I was going to get the biketronics kit and splice the wires. My question is do you think this will work. I just want the power I’m going to use an amp for my speakers. And I have the remote control jack in the back of the radio but I also have a Pac control from my car that I have never used. So what do you think?

I just tape this to the handlebars and go ...

Just kidding ... that's a cool looking radio. I hate to think what all that will cost when you're done. Let us know how you like it, and how long you keep it between the yellow lines while you're trying to play with all the gadgets.
