Just came back from a trip to the Rapid City area. I saw hundreds of bikes on the road coming and going, and never did pass one broken down. I understand your concern after reading about problems here, but as others have said, you're seeing the problems highlighted while all the bikes with no problems fly under the radar. Just make sure the bike is ready for the road, have insurance and road side assistance ready if needed (like you would for your car), and go.

 

Just got home from Yellowstone on my 99 RKC, then a friend called and we made an over night to Steamboat Springs, never worried for one minute...until now Damn it!
