Not sure that I'd want a bike broken in on a Dyno. Normally the hammer is down on the dyno, and a bike is broken in normally BEFORE it ever sees a dyno. I'd pass on this one.

I dont think it was hammered it was just used for emissions testing so that doesnt really equate to wide open for 800 miles.. Im trying to figure out who has it in dexter and i never knew there was an emissions testing place in town there... I guess I could email them and find out and ask more on the testing of the bike ..

Every bike that H-D builds get's put on the dyno before it is boxed and shipped.

I wouldnt worry about the dyno issue. You can find threads here on the forum where guys say to drive the holy crap out of them to break them in anyway. I know thats not what HD recommends but do some research. Ive had new vehicles that I drove hard during break in and they ran like a bat out of hell and no problems what so ever. It sounds like a pretty decent buy to me.

I agree .. But I guess like i said I could email then possibly call and get the full story . Actually it would all be for my curious mind as I dont have a job right now anyway ...I payed like 2k more than that for my glide classic in 06 .. I also was curious if the price was decent as maybe someone here was interested. Like the ad says its never seen the road.. Im sure you could get it for less than the asking price too..

jbremer, why is it that you are assuming that every harley gets put on a dyno before shipping? i don't believe it, because there is no dyno sheet included with the paperwork when you buy the new bike. my last two harleys that i bought new had 8 miles on them, either from the factory, but i espect it was from dealer setup. i'm thinking that if it runs, then it runs and can be sold.

I dont think I would want to buy a bike when they can't or don't know that they are saddle bags not sattle bags... Just a thought.

I have taken several tours at the Harley plants and all the tour guides say that every bike gets dynoed before it leaves. I personally sat and watched for and hour as one bike after another got put on the dyno. They ran it threw all the gears and up to 80 - 90 mph.
