I put one on mine, last month and it works great.
More break light has to help.

If you want to add a brake light function to the SG LED, you need to create a brake light circuit by splitting the run light wire into two wires; one for run light and a second for brake light.

Shown is the picture provided to me by Ride Time Technology. It shows wiring in diodes into both wires and a 30 ohm resistor into the run light wire. The wire on the right, though different in color, would be the run light wire from the SG LED. The one wire becomes two with the one with the resistor being the "new" run light; the other is the brake light.

I removed my OEM circuit board/LED's from the SG light and replaced it with 90 LED's. The project is described with pictures in this thread:

Mine came stock on my 08 street glide, dad liked it so much went and got one on his 08 ultra now....anything that makes you more visable is better, plus looks bad *** at night IMO.

More light back there makes you a bit safer, plus they look good. Go for it.

I guess that's next then. I have the BAL-1(awesome taillight!), so I'm sure with this installed will really get the drivers attention behind me. Anyone know where I can find one at a reasonable price?

One of the first mods I made. You can view a cheezy video I made last year and see the light in action. Little pain to install but worth it.
