the only thing i would keep an i on is your fork seals.
friend of mine hit one a few weeks back.
then noticed a little oil seaping around top of sliders.
about a week later
All the more reason I won't run a skinnier 18 - 21" tire. I want the most rubber I can get to help take the shock! God knows what that would do to a wire spoked wheel.
You said that you checked your tires. Did you check your wheels for damage?
A quick check would be to jack up the bike and spin the wheels while you watch for any deflection in the the tire bead area. Do both wheels and check both sides.

They're hell on 21" spoked wheels. Ask ADOT of Arizona- they bought one for my softail and paid to have it installed and the bike checked over. It took six weeks,20 phone calls and 3 faxes, but they paid in the end after a disclaimer that I wasn't injured in any way.
I knew Chicago would come up on this thread. You are constantly dodging the craters when you ride here in the city. And they want the Olympics here......HA!
IN chicago they won't do nuthen, friend hit a pothole about 3 weeks ago and got 39 stitches in his head, can't fight KING Richard Daley
Not sure if its true but I'd heard a women in her car this past winter smacked her head so hard on the steering wheel, that see died of complications from a concussion here in Chicago.
The frame should always hit first unless it is a jagged object.i have torn the kicksatnd spring off,now that is one pain in the neck.Roads are bad most everywhere.
this is one reason I don't ride at night - yes there are times I am forced to ride at night, But I avoid it all I can... I just did a coast to coast in April and a lot of roads are bad - esp in OK.... at night, its next to impossible to see them in time..
