Default trailers

single axle under 100 miles, tandem axle for trips. Flat tire on single, problem. Tandem = NP. Would rather have a flat bed tandem if on a budget. Your call.

I have a 6 by 12 enclosed single axle trailer by Haulen with 15" wheels. It has real springs and a 3/4" floor. No brakes, but I pull it with a truck and have no problem stopping - similar to pulling a smaller boat under 2000 lbs total. It has done two 3500 mile trips and one 900 mile trip, along with numerous short uses in the last two years. Most important things about trailering with no damage is a good front wheel chock and 4 "D"rings all through bolted to the trailer frame crossmembers, top quality ratcheting tie downs at four points, and soft straps. For two bikes you would, I believe, need a tandem that is a 7 or 8 wide by 14' long with brakes.
