Default IPod Question

Here's the deal;

I have an Apple IPod Nano 4th Edition. Daughter gave it to me for Fathers Day. 53 years old with my first IPod.....

I downloaded over 100 songs from LimeWire to the ITunes site, snyced to the IPod.......Songs sound great with a lot of volume through the IPods ear phones.

I have my Satellite radio mounted in my hardbag...Works great there with a 6' 3.5mm cable running from the receiver to the AUX jack on the HD radio...

Plugged the IPod into that same cable and there's hardly any volume...plus the volume does not increase at speed like the satellite radio does.....

Nothing on the HD radio has been changed and the volume on the IPod is adjusted to full volume

Any advice????

I don't have an answer for you, but I'm interested in what you find out. I've been considering canceling my XM account and going to an Ipod instead.

That all sounds weird to me, especially the part about the volume not increasing with speed. I would think that is a radio function and not affected by anything you plug into it. My XM works fine plugged into the aux port.

What year is your bike? Mine is an 01 FLHTC.

'09 SG....The satellite radio, cd player and radio channels work fine and the volume on all of them increase with speed.

The IPod does not have loud volume even with the bike off....

Hopefully someone will have an answer or some ideas....

Have you tried someone else bike to see if it's your HK aux input or your Ipod output ?

No, AUX works fine with my satellite radio, so I don't see an issue with the HD radio....

IPod output is another thing, I'll try it in my truck and see what happens...

Just tried it again...The music to all of the songs plays at a decent volume (in the garage that is). Problem is you cannot here the lyrics.....I have to get a cable to try it out in my truck......guess that will tell me if the output is bad on the IPod....

HDV,
On your IPOD, in the settings, scroll to EQ, click on it and it should take you to another menu for different types of sounds. Try clicking on Bass Booster, that is what I have mine on.

See if that works. Also, congrats on the IPOD.

I had a 4 gig mp3 other than Ipod that acted exactly as you describe. I got a 8 gig nano and it works like a dream.

Good luck hope it works out for you!
