Shift Peg Extender or Extended Shift Pegs?

Shift Peg Extender or Extended Shift Pegs?
I just installed the Harley Goodies floorboard extensions on my 2009 FLHRC and it made a tremendous difference in comfort. They would be even better if I could extend out my shift pegs a little so I don't have to point my toes in towards the bike to shift. Does anybody know if someone makes a spacer of some kind to put behind the shift pegs to extend them out? If not, what about a longer shift peg?

Hey Beach Bagger, I installed E-Z Brake E-Z Shift as my first hands-on upgrade. (I had the motor built before I took delivery)
Anyhow, they were both VERY straightforward installation...no surprises at all.
They also fit my size 13's very well and it's the first thing I notice whenever I ride someone else's bike.
They have held up nicely and I ride 12 months a year. They have a quality feel and the chrome is perfect.
I also remember some pretty friendly customer service when I placed my phone order.
So I can recommend them to you without hesitation. Hope this helps.

I have also added a Jim Nasi shifter arm with heim joints and a Baker spacer on the shift shaft..
I didn't like either the factory spacer or the E-Z Brake spacer. I know...picky, picky.
I still plan on adding a grease zerk on the shift shaft. Good luck with your mod's.

Sorry. You mean, just to space them out farther on the shifter shaft?
I think Baker might have something that will work.

Second, I installed a longhorn shift peg. Problem solved.

Pingel also offers the spacer to eliminate the heel shifter.

Although I don't have the floorboard extensions (yet anyway).
I just bought the Street Glide Friday night and had to adjust the toe shifter down to make it a little easier for me to down shift. Since I wanted to get rid of the stock shift pegs I picked up a stream line shifter peg to match the floor boards and the break pedal.
Well while adjusting the toe shifter down I decided to go a head and get rid of the heel shifter since I don't think I would be using it very often.
I noticed a small rubber spacer toward the engine from the toe shifter and that got me to thinking. The stock pegs are rubber and once you remove the bolt they are hollow.
I removed the bolt from the stock peg and cut it down. I then slid the cut down peg over the shaft and butted it up against the rubber spacer that was already there.
Put on the toe shifter with the new peg and it is flush with the end on the shaft. If you didn't know you would probably think that it came from the factory that way. Took it out for a quick test ride and shifting is a lot better for me now. Especially down shifting.
Hope this helps.

My dad has an artificial left leg and shifting has always been an issue for him. He left the lever alone. Is what he did was take the peg off and he took it to a machine shop and had one made that was roughly double the length. Now he can shift easily without trying to turn his toes in. You may actually be able to put two pegs together and just get a longer bolt.
