Could you explain why you would do such a set up?

I have not heard of anyone doing that setup. I can't understand why it would be a good idea.

There would have to be a bit more to it than that. I believe the injectors are different. Not sure if it would successfully skirt around a propper tune specific to the 96, if throwing more fuel at it is your goal. You would be better off with standard fuel managment methods like PC etc.

I've heard of a dealer doing it. In fact, it's what they recommended when I was looking at an '09 Road Glide. It's supposed to add enough fuel to cool the motor while making good power. Just a little more fuel, that's all... Pretty much.

I'd heard secondhand that a couple of dealerships in Metro Atlanta did this on '07 Touring models to help cool them down; so, it's been quite a while since I heard this gossip.

In any event, the download would add more fuel (cooling the engine; but how much???), but have no idea about the timing table differences between a 96 and the 110 stage I downloads.

And I've also heard that doing it kills gas mileage. Just gossip; no hard information to offer.

I wouldn't do it. The CVO 110 has SE255 cams that require a totally different AF setup than a stock TC96, so different that I doubt it would be even close to ideal. I have a TC96 with SE255 cams and the PCV map for this setup is totally different than that for the stocker.
