I love the minimalist look of my SG, and I know that the conventional wisdom will be "you should have bought a Classic", but I'm curious to see pics or hear opinions on what folks think of Street Glides with chrome skirts on the rear of the front fender, and possibly even a subtle chrome front tip. I'm not looking to go the rubber bumper with lights on the fender look, but considering a subtle but tasteful addition to the basic lines of the front fender. I saw a Road Glide somwhere recently with both and it really looked nice...not tacky at all...very clean. Any opinions? Really would love to see some pics.
I just don't like the look of fender tips/skirts, bag guards/rails, etc. One of the main reasons I got a Streetglide was the clean styling! Switched to a HD STREET STALKER fender, for an even cleaner look, with sweet chrome billet mounts and NO rivets.
"You should've bought a Classic!!!!"[:@] Sorry, I couldn't resist! I love the look of a clean fender and to be honest I have never seen an SG or RK Custom with fender trim.
Matt you are right. But at the time with the 100th anniversary being the big deal, I really didn't have much option. I planned on making the bike my own anyway with paint, etc... So it didn't make much difference.
Ted, You did a great job making it yours and unique. I would like to get mine painted next year so I can see mine stand out from the crowd like yours does.
