I went from a 2-1 to duals and lost my bottom end. I then went back to stock head pipes and Krome Werks slipons.....better....and then went to a Fatcat 2-1...better yet. I personally won't go the dual route again, JMHO.
I had a similar setup on my Street Glide prior to doing my 103 build. I had the Stage 1 air cleaner and Rinehart true duals, and I was getting smoked by stock 96 motors. That was enough to spend $2k on the 103 build.
thanks guys for the input. I guess I didn't realize that the true duals would steal as much torque from the bottom as it is. Are there any comments about my gas mileage?
With a similar set up I get 35 around town and about 43 on the highway so your probably in the ball park. Now as for bottom end power do not LUG your motor or you will smash the connecting and main bearings to hell, 88s are not designed to run in the lower rpm range. I try my hardest not to run my motor under 2 thousand rpm. You probably should feel the biggest hit in the 2300-3500 rpm range, if not i would have the power comander or ignition checked , good luck.
