Throttle by Wire RPM WAS Messed Up - PROBLEM SOLVED

This is bad advice from a safety perspective. You should always turn your bikes off using the kill switch. You want that habit ingrained so that someday when you need to kill the engine NOW you will just nail the switch with your hands on the bar where they belong. Just make sure you aren't rotating the throttle when you routinely kill it. Should be pretty simple to do that if you concentrate on it a few times.

The only time i would think of killing the engine would be if I laid it down and it was still running.
The first thing I would do is hit the brakes without thinking.
OK,stuck throttle.......duh!

Can you give us readers examples of when you would want to kill the engine with your hands on the bars, besides just turning off the bike after a ride?

You may want to use the kill switch when...
- Stuck throttle. Yes - the clutch works too, but has the disadvantage that your throttle remains stuck until you get the engine off. Clutch is always a good way to remove power to the rear wheel.
- You lay the bike down and can't get to the clutch.
- Your clutch cable breaks!
etc....
It's good to make it a habit.
