Enough! The squealing rear brake is driving me nuts!

+1 theres your kit. And dont waste your time going to the dealers for squeel, they'll just say its due to your riding style and pads are a maintenance item and are not warranted.

I have an 08 Streetglide with exactly the same problem.. Dealer looked at them a couple times and said its brake dust etc.. asked him about the bulletin, again going nowhere with that. He did have a suggestion that worked:....
Press fairly hard on the back brake, and travelling in 1st gear give it some throttle .. draggin the brakes this way for less than 10 feet, and the squell is gone.
I have to do this about every 10,000 km, works everytime.

Same problem - drove me nuts. I use the back brake as I complete a stop and that is when it really squeels.
Got the Lyndall pads, still squeeled, got another set - was a lot better. Apparently there is a defective batch of Lyndall pads out there - I found out about it after I bought the second set.
Then put some of that anti-squeel goo on the backs of the pads and it fixed the problem . . . most of the time. Lyndall doesn't recommend use of the goo, but it works pretty well.

Except for the one suggestion to take the back pads off, I am going to go thru the list of ideas (a couple I have already done) posted. Why don't the pre 08's have this problem? I probably will change out the rear rotor in a few hundred miles when I put on a new raer tire. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
