Default Road Glide - short, short windshield owners

To my fellow sharknosers, those who have a short windshield, meaning the 6 or 7 inch screens, please comment on how you like them. I don't mind wind, but hate buffeting. I currently have a Cee Bailey's SSC Euro 15". It's ok, a little buffeting over 65 mph but less than the stock screen or Klockwerks 12". Before I go to an even taller screen, thought about going the opposite way and get a very short screen. I use to ride a sport bike and never "tucked" and never had a buffeting problem.

I have the 12" Klock Werks on mine and I don't receive any buffeting. I'm short though (5'9")

I'm 6' and had the clearview small gt on my o6 and now on my 09. I really wouldn't call it buffeting but you eat a lot of bugs, get hit with a lot of stones, and have your sunglasses rattle at around 70 or 80 mph. It's 9 inches and the re-curve seems to throw the wind right at my forehead. I tried the stock shield and it solves all of the above problems, but it looks geeky. Small black shield with the re-curve really looks looks bad ***. I would say for long trips I'm gonna put the stock shield on but for 100 miles or less, small shield it is.

I am 6'3" and don't mind the wind or bugs and such but I hate the fact that I can't hear my stereo because of the wind. Other than that it is fine. Trips suck but around town is great.

They look cool but like nochages4me said, I couldn't hear my radio. I bought a RG for the radio and fixed faring protection, I would have got a RK otherwise.

Pic shows my black shortie, has since been changed to a 10"
dark smoked.
I really liked the bitchen looks of the shortie, but the direction of the
wind behind me really bothered my wife......and you know the
rest of the story,so no explanation needed !!!

I had the 8 inch Klock Werks on when I bought the bike(see sig) and the wind around my ears was awfull, no real buffeting though, could not hear the radio when over 60 mph. So I have changed to the 12 inch Klock Werks, and it is much better, still not buffeting, can hear the radio, but still get wind in the face. I am 5-9. so should be similar.

I went totally brain dead one day and bought the black wind deflector that comes on the FLTRSE. Looks great, but ya might as well not even have anything there. Bought it last Summer to stay cooler in the city......and yes, the breeze is refreshing, but wear a full face helmet if you venture out on the superslab.
