Default HD Synthetic Oil Change Question

Hey, how long are you guys running the HD Synthetic Oil between changes? I put HD Syn. in the primary, engine and trans. Have 2500 miles and was gonna change the engine oil. Should I do the primary and trans. as well, or can they run a while longer. Just looking for opinions.

My local dealer recommends not to push the 5000 mile service even with the syn oil. So I change just my oil at 2500 and do the full service @ 5000. Unless you ride less than 2500, change it each yr. I am sure others have other ideas.....Just my 2cents.

Trans must use gear oil, not motor oil.

Default Oil Change

I have been using SyN3 since it came out, and changing to Amsoil, put the 20/50 in the Eng, Primary but using the 75w-140 in the tranny. Switched over on a trip back to Iowa and the bike runs cooler and smoother. Again there are thousands of threads on this topic and like everything else everybody has opinion but I can tell u that u will not go wrong with amsoil.
