Default Amsoil Severe Gear Tranny oil

I just did my 10k service this weekend and switched over to Amsoil lubes in place of HD SYN3. I put Amsoil Severe Gear 75w110 in the tranny and what a huge improvement it makes... shifting is much smoother and it really helps to reduce 1st gear whine. Neutral is easier to find at a stop too. Great stuff!!

If you think that works well, wait until you try Redline Shockproof. It is even thicker and makes it shift like butter. Really.

Amzoil has an 85-140. But you guys that switched, does it get rid of the clunk in shifting? I had a bottle of 75-110 and put it back cuz I wasnt sure which one might be better.

Still get the 1st gear clunk from neutral when then the bike hasn't fully warmed up but otherwise no clunks and shifts very smoothly.

I switched to Redline tranny fluid, but don't notice much of a difference in the clunking or finding neutral. At least it's easier to check the fluid level because of the pinkish color.
