Default 09 Street Glide

Has anyone changed their rear shocks? Was thinking about installing stock ultra shocks to cure the bottoming effect. Hope someone had some info, basically wound raise the rear to a Road Glide stock height. And is the stock front lowered or just the rear?

I haven't changed the rear.

The front is the same height as the Ultra/Road Glides.

Did you pump up your shocks first. I am a big guy and mine would bottom out if I was below 35psi in the shocks. If the wife is on too I put it up to 40pounds and no problems.

What air pressure you runnin' in that '09 Crash?
The '09s take a lot more pressure than the pre '09s.

good point - air pressure.

Solo I run 10 psi - I'm 180'ish.
With the wife I run 35 psi.

I am considering doing the same thing. the more air pressure you put in, the stiffer and rougher the ride. I have tried up to 45 lbs. I am over 200lbs. Looking at changing the seat as well to something softer. I am tired of the log wagon ride but don't which option will be the best
