What Tire???? What Tire????

You could probably order an E3 from Dennis Kirk for $116.99 delivered and get it before the weekend.
Maybe not. I just checked my paperwork and I ordered my rear E3 on 6/24 and received it on 6/30. I paid a local HD dealer $78.33 to remove the old tire and mount and balance the new one. I still have the D402 on the front.

I just went over 10k on my rear 402 and do a lot of 2up riding. Ride's not bad, but that's stated without anything to compare against. I may be stuck with the dealer (stealer in this case) considering the $$$$ he's charging. Then the $79 mount/balance/labor charge on top of this.
My own damn fault for not planning ahead. Then again, wasn't planning on Sturgis this year until the wife piped up a week ago....."So, you want to go to Sturgis?" As stupid questions go......

Thanks. I kinda figured they and everyone else under the sun would be there. I'm not too concerned with the tire with just me on it as there's still some tread, but with the wife on there and in the rain.....and I'll be adding over 1000 miles on it for the trip with rides while there.

I just installed both front and rear Elite 3 tires on my Ultra two weeks ago before our trip. On Friday the 10th, we left south central Kentucky and in the next 10 days, we traveled 3500 miles, first to Sturgis, SD. Then down to Pikes Peak, then back home. The most miles in one day was the last day; we went 530 miles from Springfield Mo. to home on Sunday, I had to work Monday.
We traveled mostly highways with little interstate miles. The roads out west are full of tar snakes. The E3 tires handled great. I hardly ever felt any wiggle at all, definitely much less than the 402 tires would have wiggled. My buddy also installed the E3s on his Heritage Classic. We both are very happy with the handling and wear of the tires.
After the 3500 mile trip, my back E3 has 8/32" tread left, and the front has 5/32" left. My bike was ridden 2-up (wife and I) and I had a lot of weight in luggage as well the entire trip. If this wear rate stays the same, I should expect at least 10k from my back E3 tire. I was only getting about 6000 miles on my back 402 tire before changing.
I am a believer in the E3 now, couldn't be happier with them.
