Would the VRod engine fit in an FLH frame?
What a touring machine that would be. Probably not a reality though. A 103 would be good . . . If you could keep the thing from running at a million degrees. It would certainly have enough power.
The other thought is, if it has the touring (Ultra) seat on it, it would move the rider slightly closer to the fairing. Probably better wind protection with the benifits of that bullet shape to cut the wind better.
Knowing Harley though, it will be the CVO bike and cost 40K.

I like the fixed fairing because it felt a lot lighter on the bars...turned a lot better...I don't mind the fairing look too bad...It looks ok. I like the look of the batwing a bit better but i bought the bike for function more than looks... I wanted a Harley but wanted a touring bike FLHTC was the best choice at the time...If i had to do over again i would probably do the same thing.... Unless i could ride The RG for a full weekend with a backrest....

Try it on the super slab......now that's nice! No gettin' shoved around by semi's and it tracks like an arrow.......While out playin' just wiggle the bars alittle......you'll see how responsive it is. Have tried to drag the floorboards but yet to get it......maybe it requires more cojones than I have, but really responsive, and very, very agile.......mmmmmmmm, Mongo like RG!!!!!! ROFLMAO!!!!!!!

Only downside on the 09 RGs that I've found so far is the issue with the front tire (D407s) cupping and causing vibration. I have just 3k on mine and it was not fun trying to hold on in the curves during a 4 day 1200 mile trip through the CO mountains. Calling the dealer tomorrow to discuss options, but the D408 appears to be the only option available right now and it's jsut the same tire, reversed with a new model number.
