Default Kuryakyn iso grips

Hi guys, I just ordered a kuryakyn iso gripsw/throttle boss for my 09 RK. I just want ur feedback if this is easy to install it myself or i need to bring it to my dealer for installation.
Iam afraid that i might mess up the throttle & void my warranty.

Thanks & have a safe ride

I can't comment on the throttle application, but you want to be absolutely sure in the orientation of the left grip in regards to grip/hand comfort. That grip is glued on and once in place it isn't going anywhere.

5 minute job, maybe 10 if you drink the beer before doing the work.

like Soos said, install the left one last so you can orient it to the throttle side.

also, fwiw....the left one will come off after riding in continuous rain for 2 days...

I really like mine. I've been using them for the last 30,000 miles or so. No problem on the install. I used the throttle boss alot when I had them on my heritage. I don't use it much now that I have cruise control.

There are two versions of ISO grips. On pre fly by wire, and one post. Make sure you have the fly by wire model before you start.

Otherwise it is a simple job. Cut the left grip off. The right is a very simple replacement.

+1 on this. The first pair I put on I installed the left one first. Ended up with the hands in an unequal position, and felt really stoopid!

LMAO! Same thing happened to me. Sure increased the "pucker factor" in a hurry. I always like the grips though. Comfortable over the long haul.

I installed them last year myself in just a few minutes. It was very easy.
