This is where the revised headlight mounting ring comes in handy
On the newer models, the black plastic ring the headlight bulb housings mount into have the bulb housing screws on the outside vs inside
With these screws you can remove one headlight bulb housing and if necessary adjust the upper headlight aiming screw without fairing removal.
Then you can reinstall the bulb housing and adjust the bottom two screws.
I always adjust the headlights with someone sitting on the seat to factor rear suspension sag into the adjustment process.
Daymakers once installed almost always require a bit of tweaking to get correct based on my experience installing 4 sets on my bikes and friends bikes.
Harbor freight has the 4.5 mm socket and the 3/16 usually in stock

Lowes will sell you a pair of 1/4" drive 4.5mm deep well sockets for less than $4 a piece and look there also for a couple of ratchets for maybe $6 apiece. Get a penlight flashlight you can hold in your teeth, or better yet a helper to aim the light. Find a empty or deserted road and have at it. Helper can put their fingers up against the housing to verify movement is happening when you are adjusting.

I couldn't see enough movement in a garage setting. I just raised mine up a bunch and since I don't get flashed by oncoming traffic I am okay, IMHO>
I also have a HID kit installed so lots of light and focus.

You need two sockets to raise or lower the beam. Both turning the sam time.
