Why do you guys wash your bikes with a hose? One thing I got from riding metrics is Honda spray on cleaner/polisher. It basically seems to be similar to pledge furniture polish in an aerosol can.
Spray it on one section at a time and wipe off with a microfiber towel. I've been using it for years, never caused any problems or swirl marks or anything else. I do the whole bike with it. Works great on windshields, chrome, painted surfaces, just about everything.

+1. I will never understand people that won't use water to wash a bike... its a freakin vehicle. but they can do whatever they want its their bike.

I guess I am a little at a loss on this one. If the bike won't take a good pressure wash without grounding out the electrics under the seat, then how can you rely on it to ride in a rain storm and especially pass a truck with water spraying everywhere at 50 mph. I pressure wash mine off, removing saddle bags and spraying under the seat, tank everywhere dirt collects, then, ride it home to wipe it down and wax. If it shorts out with a pressure wash job, then something is wrong. How can you trust it?
