Default factory cost cutting BS

I just replaced my stock speakers with some Hog Tunes as I have done with my last three baggers...and neither speaker had an inner lower screw in it...They were both held in with three screws...I took my happy a$$ to lowes and spent $.28 for two screws...Did QC not pick up a mistake or were the 09s shipped this way...WTF? 20K and you have to buy your own hardware

Remember when Chrysler Corporation started using only 4 studs and lugnuts on their smaller cars? saved them 4 studs and 4 lugnuts on each and every "K" frame car. That was the start of real crap to come out of Chrysler Corporation.

Quality just ain't what it used to be, not even from Harley Davidson.

Times are tough for vehicle manufactures. They need to cut wherever possible.

Wink 06 SG only has three screws

If it is good enough for Harley Engineering it is good nuff for me.
Put J&M in then went to Hog Tunes (better) still only have three screws.
If'n it needed 4 screws HD would have put 4 in.

Hey Terry, do you carry the bolts for the fairings by chance?? seems dealers never replace them when done. to hard to install.. always find them missing

My 1999 is the same, 3 screws a side.

That adds up to a lot of screws...
