RKC Front brake squeal

RE: RKC Front brake squeal
I also had a 2006 RKC with front brake squeal. When I brought it in for the 1K check I mentioned it to the dealer, they fixed it. They flipped the rotors from the left side to right side and the squeal hasn't come back yet, 2K later. Others have changed the front rotors to floating with the same results.

RE: RKC Front brake squeal
You can do a few things to eliminate the squealing. The squeals come from brake dust getting in between your caliper pistons and the back of the brake pad. Some folks have switched left/right rotors, changed brake pads (to Lyndall or SBS), and kept the calipers/pistons cleaned.
A more expensive way to go is switch to floating rotors and Kevlar brake pads.
Lyndall Racing also has detailed instructions on how to remove and clean your calipers.

I know someone went over this before but could anybody tell me how to stop the front brake squeal on my RKC 2006, I put new pads in and was careful braking them in but it didn't do any good.
thanks for any reply

RE: RKC Front brake squeal
I have a somewhat of the same problem except my front brakes just rub a little (no squelling). When I'm pulling my bike into the garage I hear a slight rub rub rub as I roll in. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem, the pads look fine but it seems thay are staying down or closed.
