Mustang or Sundowner
Wife is riding with me more and more and she's getting the sore butt thing. While I don't mind the stock seat, I too am looking for more comfort.
I like the looks of the Mustang Regal and will take a spin up to Laconia Bike Week to try one on in the next couple days. I haven't been able to find a Sundowner at any local dealer yet.
I'm looking for a seat that will let me flat-foot the bike better than that stock seat. Also I find there is so much room that I slide forward and back in the seat a lot.
For the passenger I think "basically" it needs to be thicker and wider, that stock thing sucks.
What do you think?

Try the Sundowner. You can get it with the Street Glide stiching too.
From Zanotti - HD you can get it shipped for $276.71. You will never get a Mustang that cheap.

I traded in my stock Ultra seat for the Mustang Regal. I did it primarily for the looks because my wife and I were comfortable on the stock one, however after the change my wife said she liked the Mustang better. Get the regal backrest also, it make a lot of difference when you are riding without the wife. When the wife is along, I leave the backrest off.

Had a Sundowner on our 2001 RK. Wife liked it better than stock but still wasn't comfortable for long rides for her.
We have had a Mustang(same seat) on the last 2 bikes - 2004 EGC & 2007 EGC - and couldn't be happier. It has over 50K miles on it. First thing she said after a short trip when we bought the 2007 was "You are putting the Mustang on this bike, right?"
I know comparing a RK Sundowner to a Electra Glide Classic Mustang seat might be apples to oranges but if I have to buy a new seat, I would buy another Mustang in a heartbeat.
But if I get a little extra cash saved up, I might send the stock seat for the 2007 EGC to Mean City Cycles to see what they can do with it.
