Default 16" Apes on 2009 road king

Got a 2009 road king and i put 16 inch apes on. my dealer ordered me a +10 72"clutch cable that i installed. well after 1300 miles it broke. it seemed extremely long. what lengths have any of you done for 16" apes on the clutch. thanks for any input

10+ should have been just right, i used a +8 for 13"s. my guess is a defective cable of they bunged it up on install causing it to fail.

I used 6+ and I think I should have gone bigger, seems 8's or maybe one higher would be fine

was it close to being to short with the 6? i know my 10 was extremely enough that i think the bend near the adjuster is why the braid came out of the crimp
