Allstate Insurance
#12
I've had Allstate insurance for everything (houses, cars and bikes) for the past 32 years. They have been the best as far as handling claims and they consistently quote lower that other companies. When I have had a claim it has been hassle free. drive thru service. and all my repairs have been at OEM dealerships so all parts are OEM.

I worked in the auto collision repair field for 33 years and Allstate was the worst company to deal with. I kicked them out of the shops that i ran because they would pay 50 cents on the dollar for the repair and wanted used parts on everything and did not know anything about repairing vehicles.

bennenrkc.. if your a claimant as in your case, you have leverage over the insurance company... cuzz they know you can use your insurance company and then your insurance can go back against allstate for full payment plus administrative costs.
if you go around shops and look at their posted shop rate.... ask em what allstate pays... i guarantee its always lower then the posted shop rate....
the shop rate we have at the shop is $44 a labor hour, allstate pays $40.. and they only recently went to 40 from 38 last fall...... the $44 labor rate went into effect back in 2005.... think how much money allstate has saved themself over that time period and they wont pay typical things such as hazardous waste fee, storage, buff time, cover car....... they really put a strangle hold on the shops... and the shops take it up the ying yang too cuzz of how the economy is right now... better to not make a normal profit on a job than not have the job at all

I have Allstate and couldnt be happier. I met my agent at the International Bike show a couple of years ago....didnt think much about it, then my previous home owners policy came due...called up the Allstate agent that i had met (who happens to ride and puts togther a customer appreciation ride once a year) and we compared all my policys. He now has all of mine. Just find a good quality insurance company that has been around awhile and chose an agent that you can talk too. it doesnt matter who you have all the shops / harley charge the same price for the parts should you need them (regardless if you have progessive, gieco, safeco..etc.)....but isnt that what insurance is for?
