i used the screamin eagle heavy, and for me, it's a tad stiffer than i like. it does certainly allow me to get much further into a curve before braking, and i see lots of improvement as far as not nearly as much nose dive when braking at a stop. there is bound to be a way to mix the stock and the se heavy or there may be one that is just between the two. that iclick, he be da man, thanks iclick, i' been able to get a lot of useful information from you. i.e. tire sizes, fork oil changes, etc. keep em coming.

Jim, glad I could help. Some have mixed Type E and SE Heavy, and I don't know why you couldn't do that. AFAIK the two are compatible.

I am assuming you arent using Type F?

Dexron. I thought Type F went out with the 1970s Fords. What would it do. . . void my warranty?

I was going to wait for 50K to do this, but with 40K I'll do it sooner on a '06 Road Glide.

Is there any spring tension on the top caps?

No spring tension on the top caps on touring models.

type F = friction, its the poor mans shift kit. I am going to assume it would prematurely wear your forks.......
