Default 09 Touring models - tech bulletin to be released - noisy when hot

09 Street glide - quiet when cool, after it warms up excessive noise from transmission - but quiet when clutch pulled in, sounds like a can of rocks, initially thought it was valve train issue, but narrowed to transmission - but when you pull the clutch in, the nose goes away, let clutch out - noise comes back

UPDATE - apparently no tech bulletin coming - HD layoffs have cut their research and tech department

similar complaints from other riders on forum who have emailed me

HD is aware of problem, but has no solution - will not take bike back - noise started at 250 miles...

so much for harley warranty and the Harley Experience...local dealer has been great, but the HD rep basically said screw me....going with a victory next time...will pursue Lemon Law

HD tech, like at your local dealership???

If that's the case, I'm not loosing sleep over it....

Ok. Haven't heard any out of the ordinary noises with mine. Can you describe the noise and what you are doing, besides pulling the clutch, to make it happen.

I've known a couple of women over the years that were noisy when hot.
