Default Vibration on handle bar due to tire cupping?

My front tire pressure is currently to specifications and I have no spokes. So what is causing a very mild vibration when I transition from 30 to 35 mphs (either up or down). A very good mechanic mentioned this could be due to tire cupping. I did not have the bike with me so he could not check the tire but have never heard of this. I looked at the tire and I am not sure if I can tell. Any advice? Thanks

Don't know what year your bike is or tire, but some are complaining about cupping on the 09 models. I have some cupping on my front tire and there is a slight vibration because of it. I have 8k miles and it started about 4k ago. I can see the cupping can you?

My bike is an 08 Ultra. I am not sure I know how to check for the cupping.
I heard cupping is dangerous in wet surfaces. Is that true?

I've had cupping before to on both tires. Now I use DYNA BEADS (2oz) both tires. I get beautiful smooth ride not counting bad roads. Tire last longer and are always in balance. Great inprovement in ride. I don't sale them, I just use them.

Just rub the dirt off of the tire's tread with your bare hand, laying across the tire, rubbing from front to rear. If you dont feel the bumps going under your fingers, then it's probably not cupped. That being said, I should probably go check mine because I have that vibration too. Kinda scared to look with only 3600 miles on it.

Every front tire I have ever had has cupping, but never noticed it in the bars. If the front wheel is not balanced you will notice it in the bars. Look to make sure the wheel weights havn't come off. If they are still there, pull the front wheel off and have it re-balanced.
