I added the 2006 vented Lowers to my Electra Glide Standard. The vents are great. They stayed closed most of the winter and this Spring I usually have them closed in the morning and open on the way home.

my SEEG came with the hard lowers. Haven't used them since I got the bike. Bought a set of the cloth, slipon lowers from Harley. They just slide over your engine guard & snap. Put them on when you need them, take em off when you don't & carry them in your saddlebags...

Lowers won't work for me because they would severely limit the inward adjustment of my cruiseboards. Would never give those up!

Here's your answer! When I bought my '04 FLTRI, I ordered a set of lowers for it. The lowers that come from the factory for the Electraglides and Roadglides are not the same. We FLTRI owners have ONE choice from the factory if you want hard lowers. You can get the fabric ones that slip on over the engine guard if you want.
I did not buy the fairing pockets (right and left).
Stick with the HD lower fairing........it fits, is high quality, matches your paint, even though they ain't cheap.

I just installed the new HD lowers with vents on my SG. Guess you could say I now own a Ultra Street Glide... Anyways, I like them. The adjustable vents help alot and they are a breeze to install.
