Red Line Shockproof Heavy
Folks,
Exhauting issue I know. Read gazillion posts on oil. One last time. 2005 FLHRCI with 10k miles, put Shockproof heavy in the trans last week and the looks of it scared me. Took for a test ride and seems a bit quieter on shifts, but may just be in my head. I am soon to leave on a round trip from Washington State to Tennessee and just had a question. I know that oil can be a Chevy/Ford/Dodge type of a preferrence question, but I'm fixin' to see some long days, big miles and high heat. Has anyone had any negative experiences from this oil in their trans? I've had Syn 3, HD Dino, and Royal Purple in it so far all trying to find the perfect oil. I guess I won't get there, but would like to hear any testimonials either in favor or opposed to the Red Line...
Thanks in advance.........

RE: Red Line Shockproof Heavy
Heavy Shock Proof is good stuff. My RK shifts great, and never a problem with heat. Pink Puddin by god....takes a little longer at changes, but ive never experianced and discoloration to speak of. I change every 5k for what its worth, Mobil 1 V-twin every 2k.
Did Strugis the past 2 years from Tucson, and also the river run in Laughlin for the past 3 years on this Rk and never a problem.

Not sure if I like the sound of how thick it is. But, only time will tell how good it is. Me, I'm sticking with Amsoil! Been using it for over eight years now, and it's proven in all different tests. Even blew Syn3 out of the water.
