Poll: Am I to stupid to ride my bike
After my ordeal of today, and the simple answer that I did not find until hours later, I am wondering if I am smart enough for the bike I own.
My other Harley's dating back to 1981 (my first sportster at 14) to the subsequent move ups were easy for me, hell most had a kickstart so sweat was my only enemy.
Did I make a silly mistake for being new to the technology, or am I stupid for making sure I can keep my bike running, it is my responsibility and noone elses after all.

lionpride1985,
Your question is difficult to answer without knowing the 'problem' that took you hours to find the answer to.
The new bikes aren't really all that difficult to own, and if you read through your owners manual a couple of times, flagging pages that have information that might prove useful in the future.

I guess ya'll can join me. I have posted 3 times today over an issue with my FOB. Did not really feel the need to repeat the whole outline again but I am being proved wrong.
I am right where I need to be in the IQ range for bike owners, especially on this board at this time.
I will remember my audience next time and make sure I write my questions with the included information necessary for everyone to make an informed decision.
I guess I let my frustration of a long and drawn out day, for a simple solution, to a not so simple question cloud how much we must all be alike.
Have a great day.

By the way have stayed upright now form over 28 years on various bikes from small to now large. I know my way around a wrench but not so much the computerized gadgets of the new touring bikes.
Grease I can stand with anyone, computers not so much. So if I am guilty of anything it is not keeping true to myself and keeping this crap to myself.
You can sleep good tonight, I promise I will not hurt myself or anyone else with my big ol' bike.
