Default clutch cable lube

I am just finishing up the 5000 mile service and need a good lube for the clutch cable and general joint lubrication. I did a forum search and came across a product called Dri-lube, but that does not seem to be something I can pick up locally. I would prefer not having to visit the dealer.

I think you're talking about dri-slide. You should be able to find it at any bike shop, doesn't have to be HD.

Yup... it's called Dri-Slide. Most bike shops will carry it, only a few HD shops do.

I use Remington Rem Oil. It must work. Both of my bikes have some age/miles on them and have the original cables.

what sort of lubricant does it say to use in your service manual? something similar should work. there may be some sort of sleeve internally that can't tolerate some types of lubes.

Harleys lube they specify in the service manual is a lube you can find pretty much at RV dealers.. It has a needle style end on it that makes it easier to to get the lube in the cables.. Worked pretty good on the hinges on my screen door too I searched Zanotti with the hd part number then ordered like 4 tubes just to have a bunch around.. Ill get the actual name later when I hit the garage so you can google it if you want and find who sells it.. Also I got the 5 tubes because of the shipping price from zanotti . Ill never run out ..

Not a fan of dri slide, I use a cable lube adapter and then spray cable life or any cable lube to force the lube down the cable. You have to loosen the cable and the clutch adjustment to get the adapter on but should be done every 5k anyhow.
