You damn skippy it's a rite of passage for me....I do it for all my vehicles...rainy day or late evenings...Country music playing OL cooking some grub...Cold one...I ain't paying no Shrink for therapy....

Sounds a bit steep. Just had the 1,000 service done at Hertitage HD in Concord, NH. Paid $240 and that included Syn 3 and Bell Ray synthetics.

I agree that you need to be very careful on which techs touch your bike. I just had the local HD shop mount and balance a new rear tire on the rim. They put 53lbs of air in a tire designed for 38lbs, the sidewall states max of 42lbs! Your safety and their profits do not follow the same path.

They get 350 here in CNY. A friend had his RK done. They took 40 min. to get it done. Seems like a rip off to me. I did mine myself. Moble 1 in the engine and primary, Royle purple in the trans.

I agree 100% had a full service done March/09,missed a broken exhaust pipe clamp that I forgot to mention to them when I dropped the bike off, they had the nerve to want another 1hr labor+ clamp to correct their error.

I don't remember what I paid. It was the only service I let them do. It was the only time I had to add oil between oil changes, because they shorted me 1/2 quart.

I paid 235.00 And that included the HD syn oil.
