Going to change the engine oil on my 06 RKC and running into a bit of a question. The oil change "kits" on eBay are sold with an oil filter and only 3 quarts of HD oil, but my owners manual says you initially refill the engine with 3.5 quarts of oil.

I assume the owner's manual is correct, but why only 3qt of oil with the kits??

 

Tom from http://harleygoodies.com/ here. Use Mobil 1 instead for the crank case. It is so much better than Syn 3. I think you need 4 quarts as well for a bagger.
