Default Swingarm Movement

Guys, In my quest to completely re-build my 03 FLHT I am putting 1.125" belt off of a later model on (to use a larger tire). I found about 1/8" + movement in the swingarm. Will a "Glide-Pro" system with new swing-arm bushings/shaft/etc. accomplish the same thing as going back with stock bushings and a "Bagger Brace" type system. I couldn't find much on here about the "Glide-Pro" or "Sta-Bo" systems and there success or lack of. Thanks

Sounds like something is not right. How are you seeing the movement? Sta-Bo bushings help tightening the rear bushing mounts have nothing to do with swing arm movement.

Its a side to side movement, if I hold the rear of the swing-arm (where wheel axel goes thru) and move it side to side its probably more like 1/4" movement. I know the bushings in the swing arm are obviously worn. The cost of the "Glide-Pro" is $429, new HD bushings are probably $75 (just guessing). with the "Glide-Pro" you now get a new front engine mount, for the $429. I just hate to put the "Glide-Pro" in and STILL need a brace of some sort, ie: Progressive, Bagger Brace, etc. Thanks guys, your help with this project has saved me a lot of problems, cost me a lot of money, but saved a lot of time. gary
