What he said. The Lemon Pledge or an industrial brand furniture polish, Zep works really well on both the chrome and painted surfaces.

I used to use mothers chrome polish, but have opted out for the lemon frsh pledge. That stuff is amazing.

Guess she's not aware that glass cleaner removes wax.

I use soap and water, followed by an occasional chrome polish (Mothers, DuPont or Maguire's).

I sometimes use armor all glass cleaner,it does not contain ammonia.

i tried lemon pledge for a while but it left a residue on my paint after a while. Cleaned off easy enough but I stopped using it and went to Nano-Wax detailer for quick shines on top of Liquid Glass 1 or 2 times a year.

As someone who goes overboard on polishing. All good advice except the one telling you not to polish your exhaust, not true. What is important is if you polish your pipes you must make sure you buff until only the wax feeling remains but no residue. If you do this you will never get a rusty pipe. Old [post but maybe someone can benefit from it.
