Thinking of puttin apes on my 07 s/g....At what height do the stock mirrors become useless? I have been looking for as many pics as i can find, and see many people installing other mirrors.. all input is appreciated, pics as well ....thanks

Fought and fought with this exact same thing after installing my 13" Cyclesmiths. Stock mirrors were right behind them, and I didn't want to go any higher than the bars with mirrors. I ended up going through like 4 sets of mirrors and ended up with the Wicked Image ones lowered about 1" below the stock inner fairing holes. Works, but I still don't care for it. Still searching for something better. Good luck.

P.S. Really like the 13" Apes. They are great bars!

 

I use HD mirrors turned upside down mounted on the bars. With the position of my bars i could have used the stock mirrors though but opted to fill the holes with tweeters. I like the look but I am probably going to change them out to something a little smaller.
