Default What do you think -- Trade 07 Street Glide for 07 Ultra?

I have been looking at Ultras and came across a possible deal -- a straight up trade with an Ultra -- both 07s, and within 300 miles on the odometer. The Ultra is Vivid Black with stock wheels, while the SG is Black Pearl with Laced wheels. The SG also had a SE Intake and V & H Ovals while the Ultra is stock.

Both are in excellent condition.

What do you think? Should one of us be putting up some cash too?

Nah. Get a tourpak and lowers if ya want em. Why trade a bike you know for one you don't know.

This would primarly be a matter or taste.......what are you wanting?

Of course other mods would be taken into consideration. On the floor the Ultra Classic would bring a few more bucks but in this economy, who has it? Might be why you're both willing to trade.

I'd rather have stock wheels than the spoked......spoked wheels can be a little more of a maintenance issue and what about flats, etc.

Again, it's just a matter of taste......one wanting the other's bike. In this case, it may be two guys wanting each others. Good luck and let's us know when it's ironed out.

Sounds good to me. I would do it. Relative to the wheels I prefer the solid.

Concur.

~$1100 and you've got an "Ultra-Light" and you know the complete history on the bike.

You can strip all the "ugly" stuff off when you want a sleeker sportier ride.

I guess its a matter pf personal taste, I'd rather have the SG with a tour pack on it than an Ultra....

A SG is just a stripped Ultra. Trade for the Ultra and you have an open slate to do what you want. Plus you have the tour-pak and lowers if you ever want them.

That's what I did. Only my trade bike was a Dyna.

I'll let you guys know what I decide to do. I am going to have a tough time letting go of the Street Glide if I decide to do it, but the Ultra has everything I want (except for the cool factor).
