Default hardbags opinion please?

As some know i'm planning on hardbags for my 08 RKC.Figuring hardbags plus paint could get very expensive due to the paint color of my bike. Was only available apr/may of 08.The only bike that HD had with my color that had hardbags was the 08 ultra classic. But it's a different color scheme/design.So it's the only one probably available thru harley.Could use some opinions on how this hardbag would look on my ride.Posting some pics of the ultra.thanks

Yes but the style or scheme would be like whats on the ultra pictured.Dont know how they would look on my bike since its a different paint style how it would fit with the lines of the bike..

The bottom of your tank and the bags are both the same color. It looks like it would work. Will the hard bags go on your mounts?

I think it would look good, What I think would look better is the hard bags done completely in the "gold" color with bag extensions in black.......

Should look ok! all gold colour would look nice.
Why not just get em off ebay either in a pair of 1 by one and stretch them and pait to match with House of Colours paint?

I realize it looks black in the pics.but what it really is ,depending on the light it looks like a real dark hunter green w/burgundy metal flake.Dont know why they ever called it black glow.

Well, if you painted your side covers with the black like on the Classic it would surely improve the lines with the hard bags and probably would look fine with the classic bags too. Black is easy to match as is the stripes, the gold would be pretty tough.

I do like the idea of stretched bags too...definitely a smooth look.

Well, that puts a completely different spin on it. I imagine both colors would be tough to get exact without using the factory paint...but unless you have an excellent painter that can guarantee a match, the factory painted bags probably the best way to go.
GOOD LUCK

Thats one of my problems "can it be matched" due to the speacial colors.Which would also mean more costly than a normal paint job.Just as an idea my HD dealer has a private painter that does this type of work, they told me as an estimate it would probably be around 800. to paint the bags.
