I use the pop bottle. I got a long drill bit to put 2 holes in it. 1 in the center (for air) 2nd at the bottom (lets the oil drain). I run it through the top of the bottle and put the cap back on. Then I pour the oil out of the bottle and use my filter wrench. The filter wrench hangs on on the engine case ( I have an oil cooler) with the pop bottle in place and the filter wrench inside it doesn't hang when removing it.

The foil trick worked great on my 02, but not the 09. No I use the plastic bag trick and it works ok. None this ideas work as good on my 09 as the foil worked on the 02.
