Default Dropped bike. Need some help and advice.

Now the front left rider foot rest is rattling like crazy. Any suggestions on a fix or do I need to replace it. When I tap on the rubber insert, it sounds like metal clanking on metal. I'm in the middle of a trip in the NC mountains. Going to take it to the dealer here in Asheville. Would like to be able to suggest to them a fix if any of you know if there is one. Really don't want to live with the rattle for the next week or so. Don't want them to say 'Oh it's not hurting anything, just ride'. You guys know how a rattle can drive you crazy.

I would have it replaced. You should have some basic tools on rides, especially longer ones. Not sure if something snapped or not but I would not ride for a long time with it like that.

Is it bent? Any other damage?

Glad your OK, you can always fix a bike.

I'd replace it also, I hate leaks and rattles. Glad you're OK.

All it needed was tightened. Rattle is gone. I did have my torques wrenches with me but didn't have the right size wrench with me to hold the nut to keep it from turning. Harley dealer in Asheville tightened for me at no charge.

Sounds like a good honest dealer. Glad it was only a minor repair.

Motorcycle Heaven. We really enjoyed ourselves. We stayed 4 days and will have to go back again and then won't see it all. BRP, Maggie Valley, Byrson City, Cherokee, Fontana Dam, Cherohala Skyway, Deals Gap, Chimney Rock, Hot Springs. All great places to see. We didn't make it north as we headed down to Chattanooga for our last two days before heading home. I'm a Civil War buff so had to visit the battlefields in Chattanooga.
