Tips for Riding in Hot Weather
Leaving for Sturgis 29 Jul w/8 others, 1st two days is west from Atlanta to Lubbock than north thru Colorado High 90's -low 100's temps. Looking for tips to store water for use while riding and any comments on Cooling vests vs using a wet sweat shirt, to keep the body temp down.

I wear long sleeves...50 spf drink a lot of water stop when you want....Mesh stuff works good to apparently...i don't wear them but my buddies do and love them...I have a cup/bottle holder and always make sure i have a full or 3/4 full bottle of water when i leave...I bought a little cooler and throw cold water in it a store stops.

Don't forget Sturgis is in the Black Hills, where the temperature can drop as much as 20-30+ degrees at night, as I learned the hard way. On my first trip, the closest motel I could get was 70 miles south of Sturgis. Those rides back to the motel at 2 AM were bitter cold. I ended up buying a new leather jacket and chaps, to wear WITH my rain gear, trying to stay warm at night. During the day, sleeveless shirts were pretty toasty.
