The best thing I did to lower the heat was to buy an 09 Electra Glide Standard! Three weeks ago, I was in 105 degree temps in California without any heat problems whatsoever.

Ok guys,
thanks for all the suggestions so far.
My husband installed a PCV from FuelMoto today on his '07 Ultra & says it doesn't feel much cooler at all.
He says that when it gets hot, it begins to run rough too.

*Sigh*
So NOW what?
Does he have to change his pipes & breather?

I told him I'd read on the Forum that synthetic oil helped a lot but now he's getting discouraged & simply answered,
"Why do I have to spend so much time & money just getting a bike right that cost this much to begin with?"

Please help me help him fall in love with it!

It's been mentioned earlier, but if he hasn't done it yet, remove the lower fairings in the summer months. It will make the most difference with temperature felt. More so for the passenger than the rider. I carry some of the fabric lowers in a saddlebag for those times we run into rain.

youve been given the answers you just have to apply them.
you need

air cleaner
mufflers
synthetic oil
dyno tune

for the gentlemen that asked about the temp gauge i have the digital thermometer on my dipstick. running temp prior to the upgrades was 205 to 210 running. after upgrades its twenty or more degrees cooler........cased closed

same results on my UC. i still run with lowers with no problems. in addition, have RJs orginal heat shields which are a bunch better looking product than them plastic junk Kury or HD make.

Oil cooler and my Fan Kit will go long way to keeping the oil cool.

True duals took care of my heat issue, I installed them last winter. If I had to do over I would have done true duals the day after I purchase the bike. Big difference!!!!!

Easy fix, take the shields off wrap the pipe in the kevlar wrap and then reinstall the heat shields. should lower the temp a few hundred degrees
