Default SE Heavy Breather Question

I bought a SE Heavy Breather after talking to my parts dealer that it would fit my bike, a 2003 road king. Well, after tearing it all down, my throttle body is to small and it does not fit. Does anyone know if they make an adapter or anything to that nature? Or am I just going to see if I can fab one up or sell it? Thanks.

I know there are two versions one is for 08 and later (part number 29253-08) and that one is for the larger throttle body. I don't see it in the online catalog but there is one for 07 and earlier (which is what I have). I will search for that part number but it bolted right on my 04 RG and my Dads 02 Deuce. Sounds like you might have the wrong one, let me know your part number.

it is my understanding that if you want a heavy breather for a pre 08 bike you have to buy the part`s separately .

I was not aware of that, when did that change?

Here is the part number that I bought: 29592-05 that is for 07 and older.

That part number does not show up in the chicagoharley part search so it looks like it might be discontinued.

I have part # 29592-05. I was told by dealer it would fit. He didn't tell me anything about separate parts.

29253-08a is for an 08 -09, i have an 07 and looked into getting the heavy breather for my bike you have to buy the parts separately because there is no heavy breather kit for bikes older than 08, you need to buy the backplate separately and the rest of the parts dont come in a kit either. that is the information i have from research i could be wrong!

I have everything in the kit. Its just that the bolts for the throttle body don't match up. My tb is smaller. Maybe if I go raise hell at the dealer they might straightn things out.

OK just talked to my dealer, they looked up part number 29592-05 and he said there is a new part number. Heavy Breather for 99-07 29299-08 ($299.99).

I even searched at ChicagoHarley.com and it is listed there:

http://chicagoharley.com/shop/advanc...9-08&x=20&y=13

So like solowrider said if you have part number 29253-08a that is for an 08-09. I am not sure if all the parts are the same except the backing plate maybe you can just get that. I can probably find the instructions for mine if you want all the part numbers to compare.
