Default 126lbs torque from HD 110 ?

Theres a guy I work with that claims he had the new high performance shop that Reno HD just built put a HD 110 in. He couldnt tell me anything about what parts were used except that it was HD 110 and its warrantied so I assume its all HD parts. He said the motor build cost him $10,000 and it dynoed at 126 lbs of torque. Is this even possible with a HD 110?

I'd imagine that it's VERY possible. The STOCK engine is supposed to put out 90+ ft/lbs of torque. I bet 126 is very achievable with the 110"

He DID say Torque and not HP right? 126 HP would be a LOT more difficult.

I would think it is very possible. I have 110 lb tq out of my 98", but it only cost me 3500. A far cry from 10,000. I also know that when you get above 100 hp, the price goes way up.

very possible but for 10k you are well past a built S&S 124 which would put out at least 130/130 and comes with a two year warranty

I was surprised when I read in the Luxury motorcycle shootout article that the SE 110 (stock) dynos at:

"Dyno tested at 75 hp at 5,100 rpm and 88 ft-lbs at 3,800 rpm"

I realize that's stock, but my 95" build is at 86 HP and 100ft lbs. I wouold think the 110" should be capaple of much higher numbers than posted.

On the other hand, I don't know what the "mission profile" of the build was. When I did mine, I didn't set out to get big numbers, just elimination of the chain tensioners and a reliable touring profile. I'm getting around 44 mpg, and all in all am pretty happy.

He is probably telling the truth, i'm sure those numbers are attainable, with HD parts would be the real question?
