That is what I decided to go with. Longer life than the 894 37.5 watt. 1100 hours over 300 hours. No brainer.

Just installed the 893ST, huge difference in the daylight, will check them out tonight if it stops raining. Hope I dont have any problems with the total draw on electrical system.

OK I am confused - My passing lamps have been sealed beam on my last 2 bikes and you guys are talking about replacing just the bulb? I don't get it. I have had 2 replaced under warranty in 10K miles so I am looking for a solution for when the warranty is up.

These would be a good choice also and cheap. The will be brighter than stock. I was going for the brighter, and whiter lighter light, thus the Silverstar. Here is a little more info on the bulbs output if anyone's interested.

Measured in Lumes per bulb +/-10%. A single H4 headlight bulb is 910 lumens on low and 1500 on high. Just for reference.

Stock 27 watt - 550 Lumens / color temp 3000-3200
898 37.5 watt - 754 Lumens / color temp 3000-3200
893ST 37.5 watt - 990 Lumens / color temp 4000

Okay I took the bike out for a ride last night to test the 893ST, yes they are much brighter and more visible to others. Cheap effective upgrade.

Okay for an update on the 893, they both went out in the past two weeks, lasted exactly 1 year and 20+k miles.
