Default Polished Rotors and Brake Pads?

When you installed polished rotors, did you change to organic brake pads or anything else?

Tom from http://harleygoodies.com/ here. I changed to Lyndalls when I did the switch, but it was not necessary. the rotor will get scored from the pads regardless of the type of pads. Maybe less with some, I really have not done my homework on this, but I'd say it does not matter unless you want a dustless pad that stops better like Lyndalls. They get a thumbs up from me.

Regards,
Tom

I've read that the organic pads are easier on the rotor. I guess it doesn't scratch or score as much. I really like the idea of going to lyndalls to be cleaner and maybe stop a little better. Just wondering what everyones experience is with whatever pad and polished rotors.

I just got my rotors polished, and my mechanic strongly suggested I go to the organic pads. They don't score as much, and seem fine so far. Not expensive either. Too early to tell, but so far so good. I paid a lot of money to polish those rotors, I'd like for em to look good.
