headlight door clip - i hate it
does any one have any comments suggestions or anything else about how to get that darn little wire clip to slip in that hole when replacing the headlight door.
i have at times spent like 30 minutes attempting to get it in, while trying to get it to stay in the back of the door and to keep that rubber thing on it.
one of the more frustrating things i have found.

i also think it's a very poor design. and when i find a european type headlight housing,i'ts going into my streetglide. the reflector optics and quality are far superior to harley. and that clip where the three wires go onto the pins on the back of the bulb. get that. replace with an automotive type that you don't have to squeeze some tabs etc. imagine having to change a headlight bulb in auto zone parking lot after dark with the stock harley "junk" housing. any good quality like napa healight plug will work fine, solder, heat shrink, etc, quality job and you're done.

No idea what clip it is but I can imagine. Years ago I remember experiencing similar issues on an old bike - really frustrating.
Not sure if this applies or will worh, but I used a small cable tie (zip tie) and used it to preset the spring. Once inserted I would cut the tie, job done. Worked a treat
